Marine Finance

Many aspects of boating, from owning your own boat to purchasing a waterside property, call for specialist financial services, from navigating the legal processes involved in the purchase of a boat or a waterside property, funding such projects through marine tailored loans and mortgages, to safeguarding such purchases with robust insurance.

The Insurance, Financial & Legal Services Association is a Group Association of the British Marine Federation whose aims and objectives include:

  1. That members provide their customers with quality service and support wherever they may be.
  2. To promote better business practice.
  3. That its members maintain membership of professional bodies and associations relevant to their disciplines and to comply with membership requirements of such bodies.
  4. That its members only recommend and supply insurance cover provided by insurers that are properly authorised to transact business in the territory relevant to the risk.
  5. That its members maintain an appropriate level of professional indemnity and errors and omissions insurance.

The Association has a wide and diverse membership dealing with everything from small dinghies, through to super yachts, and providing a skilled service to fellow members of the Marine trade for their own requirements.

The British Marine Federation website gives you a list of our members and the Association Secretary can give you further details and a brief resume of their particular expertise and area of activity.
